I found that I had abnormal uterine bleeding in the middle of the year, which made me very scared. I
had consulted two specialists consecutively and their diagnosis is the same: my endometrium is too
thick and surgery is recommended. At the same time, as a relief measure, I was prescribed medicine
that would temporarily stop the menstrual blood. However, by the next month, the menstrual blood
flow was still a lot and I had to go to the toilet every 30 minutes. Not only did it cause inconvenience
to my work, I also suffered from occasional spells of dizziness. This made me realize that medication
merely helps to cure the symptoms but not the cause of the sickness. So, I eventually decided to
accept the doctor’s recommendation and went for operation in early October.
After the operation, I thought I could recover. I didn’t expect it to be the beginning of another
nightmare. I had menstruation for more than one month – post surgery and up until the Stress Relief
Class in November, the menstrual blood flow did not stop. I could not understand what was
happening and asked the doctor, but he only prescribed me medicine to regulate the hormones. I
felt especially lost and sad.
Just when I wanted to give up, the Stress Relief Class gave me hope! On the first day of Class, I went to the Meditation Center, followed the guidance of Master Jin Bodhi in the videos and practiced
“The Meditation of Greater Illumination” and “The Meditation of Bone Melting”. When I woke up
the next day, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the menstrual blood flow had stopped! I was
overjoyed and very grateful to Master! The nightmare for the past six months is finally over. Now (in
December) I am not taking any medication. My period has shortened from one month to two weeks
and the flow is back to normal. I will continue to practice diligently!
Bodhi Meditation does not advocate reduction or discontinuation of medication without seeking a doctor’s advice.
