Meditation relieved me from knee pain and awakened me to the power of compassion!

Recently, I felt a sharp pain in my right knee while trying to stand up from a squatting position. Since then, the pain in my right knee has worsened and at times, I needed help to stand up.

For the past few months, I was busy taking care of my grandchild. The stress of looking after the newborn had taken its toll on me and I was easily agitated and quick-tempered. Recently, I felt a sharp pain in my right knee while trying to stand up from a squatting position. Since then, the pain in my right knee has worsened and at times, I needed help to stand up. I was introduced to Bodhi Meditation by my sister-in-law and both my husband and I came for the Jul 2018 8.5-Day Health and Happiness Retreat. On Day 6 of the retreat, I felt so relieved when I discovered that the pain in my right knee had gone down from a scale of 7 to 0.5!

Apart from this, I have become calmer and more tolerant after listening to Master JinBodhi’s teachings on compassion. My attitude towards my daughter’s pet dog has changed. Instead of having the dog caged up for a few days when my daughter was away on holiday, I allowed the dog to move around in my house. On one occasion, the dog pooed in my kitchen, and to my surprise, I did not lose my cool. I start to see the power of compassion!
